For the past 6+ years, the doctors at Wyomissing Optometric Center have been providing 24/7 Emergency Department coverage and in-patient consults for Penn State Health St. Joseph. As a way of recognizing Optometry’s role in providing hospital-based medical care, a Section of Optometry was created, in addition to the existing Section of Ophthalmology, under the Department of Surgery. As primary eye care providers, we are most proud of the role we play in the overall health care system. Dr. Glenn S. Corbin, our Founder and President, was appointed as Chief of the Section of Optometry. A proud recognition for our profession and our practice.
